Welcome to my Travel Blog
When I travel I like to see everything from cheesy tourist sites to amazing natural and man-made landmarks.
But first a little bit about myself, my day job is teaching little people (4 and 5 year old cuties) yes, I’m a teacher, but a really cool teacher (so they say) and like all teachers, we hang out for the school holidays (Yay!)
I am just as excited travelling along the coast in my home state (Western Australia) with my little caravan or overseas to the big cities on a cruise ship. Though, I don’t do height (think bungee jumping, rope bridges over canyons, abseiling down cliffs) or moving animals (horses, elephants, camels) I could say I’m caring for the environment and animal welfare… but really I’m scared stiff.
In my younger days, before I went to university, I travelled around America, worked on a summer camp as a camp counsellor for 2 summers (great fun, highly recommend it for young people), backpacked around staying in youth hostels (on a low budget as I was broke), then worked in the UK with trips to Europe. I then did the responsible thing (eye roll), studied, got a job and a house (mortgage payments…ouch) for some years.
But I am back travelling, no more hostels, I can stay in nice hotels now or the comfort of my caravan and there is this amazing thing called the internet (goodbye to carrying Lonely Planet books)
Travels by Continent
I love planning and researching itineraries, though I do make time to stop and enjoy the moment and quite often the best travel memories are the unplanned ones that just happen.
I think having a plan of attack is a great place to start your holiday, it saves time, builds your confidence and limits disappointments.
I hope you really enjoy reading my blog and it inspires you to go places and see things.
Thank you for stopping by and please stick around for more coming soon.
